Review: Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation and Powder + Photos!

Today I will be reviewing the Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous pressed powder and foundation! I purchased these items from the drugstore a few weeks ago and have been wearing them everytime I put on makeup. Since this post will have a few photos and be somewhat lengthy, the rest of the review will be after the jump! I hope you find this helpful! :) <3

Foundation Application: I have applied this with my fingertips, my Real Techniques face brush, and a knock off beauty blender. Overall I really love the finish of the foundation when i apply it with the damp knock off beauty bender.I use this method for when I want my makeup to look extra awesome and when I'm willing to put the time and effort into my foundation lol But, i typically apply it with the Real Techniques brush because it is much quicker to apply and it doesn't waste as much product as the sponge. I feel like the sponge soaks up alot of product. The finish with the brush is almost as good as the damp sponge. In the before photo I applied it with the real techniques brush since that is the way I have applied it a majority of the time. I do not like to apply this foundation with my fingertips. It gives no coverage when I apply it that way.
Powder Application: I typically apply it with my eco tools kabuki brush or the sponge that came with the compact.
Here I am before I applied the foundation and powder:

Foundation Coverage and Finish:  The Finish of the foundation is very natural looking. It is somewhat matte. This foundation has great coverage. It is very buildable without looking cakey. I typically apply one layer to my whole face and then apply a thin second layer to areas that i feel need more coverage.

Powder Coverage and Finish: The powder has AMAZING coverage. It could be worn on its own. There have been days when I am running late and I have no time to apply foundation. So,I will dab some concealer under my eyes and then apply this powder to my entire face and I'm ready to go! This powder has a matte finish.

Color Range: The Foundation has a decent color range. They are on the pink side. My foundation is almost a perfect match for my skin. I am wearing shade 115, the third darkest in the range. The Powders, on the other hand, run MUCH darker than their coordinating foundation. I wear shade 115 in the foundation and the 105 shade powder is a little too dark for me!That makes no sense!

Final Thoughts: Overall i really love these products. I will be repurchasing them when I run out. They are currently a staple in my makeup routine. I typically only like mineral foundations, so me loving a liquid foundation this much is saying alot! lol The only complaint I have is about the pressed powder. The Lightest shade in the range should not be darker than the third darkest shade of liquid makeup. They are part of the same collection, they are supposed to coordinate! Also I wish they had more yellow tones. Most of the shades were on the pink side. The before and after photos are below.
