Fall Eye Look: Blue Smokey Eye!

Today's makeup look is inspired by Adore Me's perfect fall color combinations!
Adore Me wants to know how you will be transitioning your makeup from summer to fall.
They have created four makeup looks paired with some of their super pretty lingerie to give you some fall style & makeup inspiration. I've recreated one of the looks to show you how I would wear it! Keep reading to find out which look I chose, the products used to create the look, and which pieces of  Adore Me's fabulous lingerie I would pair with the look!
<3

I chose.....

Pairing #2! The Blue Smokey Eye!!

I chose this look because I wanted to try something out of my comfort zone! I do smokey eyes, but never a blue smokey eye. It may sound intimidating, if you're used to browns & bronzes like myself, but I think It came out very fun, but wearable.

Eyes
For this look, I HIGHLY recommend doing the eye makeup first because it is very dark and you will get some fallout!
The main product I will be using the Ciate London: Olivia Palermo palette. I chose this one because the shades are the epitome fall, in my opinion.
  • First I blended a mix of London & Blondie into the crease, extending it past the end of my eyebrow.
  • Next I start building up the shade Double Down onto the lid. I dampened my brush to make the color more intense.
  • After building it up on the lid, I just blended it out from the lid into the crease.
  • I kept repeating the last two steps till I got the intensity that I wanted.
  • I cleaned up the edges of my eye shadow with a wetwipe to give it a sharper cleaner look.
  • I smudged a black eyeliner along my waterline, tightline, upper & lower lash lines.
  • I smoked out the lower lashline with a mix of London & Double Down AFTER I applied all of my face makeup, so that I didn't mess it up with concealer.
  • Lastly, I added a few coats of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious mascara to my top & bottom lashes!
Face
  • Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer
  • Sephora Microsmooth Baked Powder Foudation
  • M.A.C  Bronzer -Give Me Sun
  • Becca Blush -Pamplemousse
  • Too Faced Candlelight Glow- Warm Glow
  • Maybelline Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer
Lips
  • Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain- Forever Pink

What I'd pair my blue smokey eye with....

I love Adore Me's website because they have such a huge variety. Besides lingerie, they also have some super cute rompers and pajama sets! Since I'm plus size, all of the styles I chose are from their plus section. They have an amazing variety of stylish, cute options for plus size women, which is really hard to come by. I've picked out a few flirtier styles & some super cute, comfy casual styles. They are all various shades of blue, to match the makeup, of course. (Plus, blue is my favorite color!)

Here are the flirty styles I chose!
Look #3 (my favorite!)

My Casual Picks!
Look #1 (this looks exactly like something I'd wear)

I really like how this look turned out! I hope it inspired you to try something a little different this fall!

Vegas Inspired Makeup: One Look Taken From Day to Night!

Hello!!
Today's post is slightly different than what I normally do!
I'm participating in a challenge hosted by Vegas.com! The challenge is to to take a makeup look from day to night in Vegas. For inspiration, I chose the Venetian hotel!
Vegas.com describes the Venetian as "Over-the-top Italian elegance, abounding amore, luxury and service reign supreme".
That is right up my alley!
After looking at the photos I came up with a day time look inspired by some of the photos from the site & what I would actually wear if I were doing fun daytime activities in Vegas!
I'm not much of a gambler, so I'd probably be out shopping or on one of their beautiful gondolas!

This is the photo that inspired the first look!

(Image above from Vegas.com)

For this look I wanted to do something very simple but still glam.
The face products I used were the Loreal Pro-Glow foundation, Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer, and Rimmel Stay Matte powder. On the eyes, I used the Urban Decay Naked palette (buck & naked in the crease, half baked on the lid). On the inner corners, brow bone, and my cupids bow I highlighted with my Manna Kadar highlighter from this month's Birchbox. For eyeliner, I used Darkhorse from the same palette and added a subtle wing. I tightlined with a black eyeliner & lined my water line with a nude Rimmel liner. The mascara I used was the Marcelle Extensions one from last month's Birchbox. For blush, I used Becca Pamplemousse. I filled in any sparse areas of my brows with the Loreal brow pencil. Lastly, for lips, I used a Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Infinite Rose.

(Images above from Vegas.com)

For this look , I was going for glamorous/party vibes inspired by the Tao Beach Nightclub and the Tao Nightclub at the Venetian. I loved all the pinks, purples, and golds; So, thats what I used for my look I didn't remove any makeup from the previous look, I used it as a basis for this one! In addition to the makeup from earlier, I used my Urban Decay Vice Palette. I applied Fast-Ball throughout the crease with a little bit of Beat Down. I also applied Beat Down to the inner and outer mobile lid for a spotlight effect, and smudged it under the lower lash line. On the center of the lid I applied some Too-Faced Glitter Glue and put some of finely milled gold glitter (I'm not sure of the brand) on top. I used a purple Maybelline liner on my tightline and waterline. I added some more of the Manna Kadar highlighter to the inner corner, my cheekbones, nose, and cupid's bow. Following the eyeshadow wing from the previous look, I used my NYC liquid liner and created a slightly more dramatic wing. Lastly, for the lips I applied another Sephora Cream Stain in 07 (not sure of the name).

If your actually planning on going to Las Vegas & not just creating Vegas inspired makeup looks go check out Las Vegas package deals here!

This was such a fun challenge!
I hope you liked the looks!
Let me know what you think!

Face Of The Day, Current Makeup Obsession & First Impressions!

Hello!!! :)

I just thought I'd share my FOTD and a walk through of what I did and the products I used! Also, this is sort of a first impressions post as well because a lot of these products are new!

For the face I tried out the L'oreal Pro Glow Foundation for the first time today! I really like the consistency. Its very thin and easy to blend. It didn't oxidize and the shade matched nicely. I've never had an issue with L'oreal foundations, so its not surprising that this one works so well. I concealed with the Maybelline age rewind. Its an all-time favorite of mine. I set everything with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder (also an all-time favorite).  For blush I used the Becca Pamplemousse blush. I only used a little bit though since I wanted the focal point to be my lips.

For the eyes I used the original Naked Palette. In the crease I used some Naked and a little bit of Buck.On the center of the lid and inner corners I put some Manna Kadar Highlighter that I received in my Birchbox. I'm not sure what the shade is but it is amazing! Its very smooth and buttery. I tightlined my eyes with a black eyeliner and smudged some along the upper and lower outer lash line. I smoked out the lower lash line with a little bit of buck. Lastly, I applied a few coats of the Rimmel Colorist Mascara to the upper and lower lashes! I'm still testing this product out, I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. Supposedly, its supposed to darken your lashes with semi-permanent color so that when your not wearing mascara, your lashes are tinted. It sounds amazing but I haven't noticed a huge difference yet.

I lightly filled in the sparse parts of my brows with the L'oreal brow pencil. Brows are not my thing. lol I try though.

Last, but CERTAINLY not least is the lips!
On my lips I am wearing the Stila liquid lipstick in the shade Fiery!
Aside from the obvious fact that this liquid lipstick is gorgeous, the formula itself is perfect! It has incredible staying power. In this photo, I had drank an entire bottle of water beforehand & didn't even have to touch it up. It is very lightweight. It isn't uncomfortable or super drying. I could wear this formula everyday. It is literally perfect!

I used my points at Sephora to get the Stila sample kit and this lip color was in it along with a liquid liner, the famous Kitten eyeshadow, and a mascara. I wasn't very impressed with the mascara, but everything else is PHENOMENAL!!!

Review: Natural Skincare Products! Hops Hands Infused Hand Salve & Hops Lips Infused Lip Balm by Spindrift Soap Co

Hello Everyone!!
Today is going to be a review on some all natural skincare products that I was sent from Jointle!
In case you're not familiar with Jointle, they are a platform that supports small local makers and their website is full of American made goodies! They do not sell any mass produced items, so if your into supporting small businesses, I highly recommend this site!

I was sent two products by Spindrift Soap Co: Hops Hands Hops Infused Hand Salve with lemongrass and ylang ylang & Hops Lips Infused Lip Balm with peppermint and rosemary!

The first quality I noticed about these products is that they contained essential oils.
I love essential oils, I use them daily, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that these products contained so many of the oils that I use on a daily basis!
Also, I was thoroughly impressed by how small the ingredients list was for each product, and the fact that I knew every ingredient on each of the list was very comforting. All of the ingredients will be listed with the products in  full the review below!
Also, links to the products I'm reviewing and the website will be linked at the end.

Now, time for the full review!!

(clockwise: Hops Hands, Hops Hands Product inside, my lips with Hops Lips on them, Hops Lips)

Hops Hands Hops Infused Hand Salve with Lemongrass and Ylang Ylang

Ingredients: Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Apricot Oil, Beeswax, Vitamin E, Citra Hops, Lemongrass Esential Oil, Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

The ingredients, in my opinion, are amazing! The only ingredient I wasn't familiar with was the Citra Hops and after some googling, a lot of websites claim that it has healing and anti-inflammatory properties, which fit right in with the rest of the ingredients.
When i first opened it, it smelled just like lemongrass essential oil! I personally love the scent of lemongrass, I use it in my diffuser regularly.
The consistency when you first open it is very firm, almost hard.
I just dig a small dab out (a little goes a long way) and then rub it between my hands till it turns into a more liquid consistency.
This product is very rich and hydrating and I find that it applies best when I have just gotten out of the shower.
I prefer to apply this at night, because it is so rich, as an overnight treatment for my skin.
Although it says its a hand salve, I apply it to my knees and elbows; Basically any area that I feel needs hydration.  I've even applied some to my lips.

Overall, this is a really nice product. I love the ingredients. This is a great product for super dry skin.

Hops Lips Infused Lip Balm with Peppermint and Rosemary

Ingredients: Organic Bees Wax, Organic Coconut Oil, Citra Hops, Vitamin E, Peppermint Essential Oil, Rosemary Essential Oil

Once again, I love how simple and skin loving the ingredients list is. This lip balm does everything a  lip balm should. I love the scent and slight tingly effect that the peppermint oil give.
This lip balm is very similar to coconut oil in consistency. I would not recommend taking this lip balm somewhere extremely hot, because it does seem to melt a tad bit easily.
If your going to work or school though, it will be fine.
Because it gets slightly liquidy when it gets warm, it leaves a very pretty glossy wet look on the lips.
I have applied this numerous times by itself and over other colors and I love the sheen it gives.

Overall, I really love this lip balm. It is simple, natural, and effective.

I really enjoy finding ways to incorporate natural products into my beauty routine, because honestly, I feel like natural products are better for you! They are just harder to come by.

Thank you, Jointle & Spindrift Soap Co for the amazing products!

Why I'm Switching From Ipsy To Birchbox! & First Impression, Swatches, & Review of February Birchbox With $25 Free Gift!

Hello World!
I'm back from my midterm hiatus! YAY!
During my little hiatus, I signed up to Birchbox. During the month of February, Birchbox was sending a $25 gift upon signing up, so I thought this would be the perfect time to test out the Birchbox waters!
I've been getting Ipsy for almost two years now and I have accumulated a ton of makeup bags! I've been thinking about switching to a new subscription service for a while now due to the fact that I have so many makeup bags and I haven't been all that impressed with their samples lately. (They've sent me three flesh colored lipsticks that make me look dead. I retook the survey in case I clicked something that would insinuate that I look good in flesh colored lipsticks, but I still received similar colors.) Anyways, I thought this would be a great time to change it up and try out Birchbox!

Another huge reason Birchbox drew me in, is their point system. Compared to Ipsy, it is much more efficient and a better value. Ipsy only lets you select from a few travel sized options in their point shop. Birchbox allows you to build up your points and get actual products from their store. You can earn up to 50 points just by reviewing the products you receive. 50 points= $5. You can earn back 50% of what you actually spend on the Birchbox each month and put it towards anything in their store. You also have a much wider variety of options to spend your points on. They may be more expensive than the sample sizes Ipsy offers, but I'd rather get $5 off of a full size product I love rather than pick out a sample of a product that I don't necessarily care for. Also, you earn points from the purchases you make in their store; One point for every dollar you spend. If you spend $50, you get 10% back since 50 points = $5.
Your points are good for a year, so If you review every item you receive, you could save up $60 by the end of the year!

Lastly, I love the fact that you can customize the box you receive! They will have two (i think, maybe 3) different box themes you can pick from. So, If you want to have some control over what you receive, that is a great option. But, if you enjoy the element of surprise, you can just skip the whole customization option and see what they send you!

I'm not hating on Ipsy,I adore the numerous makeup bags I've collected. I just feel like Birchbox has more perks! Plus, its always fun to change it up and try something new.

By the way, this isn't sponsored by Birchbox or anything like that, after some research, those are simply some of my reasons for switching from Ipsy to Birchbox.

Anyways, on to the review!

I received:
  • Hey Honey Take It Off Exfoliating Peel Off Mask - 2/5 I've actually tried this mask before and I'm not a huge fan. I don't particularly like peel off masks. It dries to a clear almost plastic looking barrier on your skin. When you peel it off, it does feel like its pulling the gunk out. If you have any peach fuzz or accidentally touch your eyebrow though, it will pull the hair out or just hurt. This mask does what it says and gets the job done. I'm just a clay mask kind of girl.
  • Corioliss Argan Conditioning Mask- N/A I rarely use hair masks, but when I do, I will update this post.
  • Naobay HydraPlus Cream- 4/5 I really enjoyed this moisturizer. Its rich and creamy. It didn't break me out.
  • Color Club- Thats My Jam 5/5 I love the formula of this nail color! I've been wearing it for three days now and It hasn't chipped yet. It has a sheer but buildable gel like consistency when you apply it. I only needed to apply two coats for it to be opaque. I wasn't crazy about the color, but I want to purchase some other shades because the formula is amazing!
  • Pop Beauty Matte Velvet Lipstick- Cozy Crimson - 5/5 This was, by far, my favorite item from my Birchbox! The formula is velvety (like the name suggests), the color is vibrant, and it smelled very tropical like Sun Bum. The scent alone is amazing and I would probably purchase a chapstick if it smelled the way this lipstick does. I will definitely purchase more shades in the future! I love this lipstick!!!
  • Mally Beauty Evercolor Shadow Stick-  5/5 This was the free $25 gift I got for signing up. This is an absolutely amazing cream eye shadow! It doesn't budge. I've been using it as a base for other shadows & wearing it on its own. One thing I love about this cream shadow is that you can blend powder shadows seamlessly on top of this with out having to set it. Usually I have to set cream products with a similar powder shadow, but not with this product. I've been applying this all over the lid and up into the crease then just blend a darker shadow into the crease to add dimension.
Overall I really loved my Birchbox! I'm excited to see what other samples I receive!
For the month of March I actually chose one of the customized boxes. I'm so excited to try out the products that it had listed!

Also if you decide to sign up, please use my referral link. Anyone who signs up gets their own referral link and for every person you refer, you get $5 to spend in the Birchbox Shop!

Let me know if you prefer Ipsy or Birchbox!
What Birchbox samples did you receive? Did you like them?

I hope someone found this post helpful!

Swatches in the third box from the top are the Pop Beauty Lipstick & the Mally Evercolor Shadow Stick. Color Club nail polish is on my nails in the lower left hand corner, & the same Pop Beauty lipstick swatched on my hand is on my lips in the lower right hand corner.

Makeup Update: New Budget Friendly Makeup Products I'm Dying To Try! + Video Update

So,
I haven't been to the makeup section of Target or Walmart in a bit.
Well, I went to Target tonight and there is a TON of new products. I didn't realize how many new makeup products had came out since the beginning of 2016!

Maybelline new products16

From what I saw, Maybelline has the most new products. It looks like they are really giving high end products a run for their money. I've never seen so many different palettes & primers in the target /Walmart/drugstore setting! I'm thoroughly impressed! I just hope the products are good quality.
I recently purchased one of Maybelline's new matte liquid lipsticks & I was very disappointed in the product. Usually their products are amazing, but that was a dud.
I'm holding out hope for the rest of the new products though!

new covergirl 16

Covergirl had some new products also, but what stood out to me is the new Tru Blend blushes and bronzers! I've seen these being used in a few youtube videos lately, and the color payoff looks beautiful. They have a baked marble formula, which, from my experience, always has a natural, flawless, luminous finish. Some of my favorite Laura Geller and Milani products have a baked marble formula.

Loreal 2016

Loreal has a new Lumi Cushion Foundation. I believe this is the first drugstore brand to introduce this Korean beauty trend at an affordable price point that is easily accessible. I'm probably the most excited about this product because I have wanted to try a cushion compact foundation for the longest time!

Lastly, I noticed that my local Target is now carrying the brand Essence! I'm not sure if this is news to anyone else, but my Target has never carried Essence before. I've never had any Essence products, so I'm very intrigued by that!

Also, my Valentines Day makeup video will not be up by Valentines day. I attempted to film the video again and my camera cut off mid-filming and I didn't notice till I was 90% done with my makeup. I was BEYOND FRUSTRATED! I honestly think I wasn't meant to film this Valentines day tutorial, because this is the second time some freak accident has occurred during the filming process. LOL

A video will be posted though, just not by Valentines Day. :(

Valentines Day Makeup

Hi!!
So today I attempted to film a video on this Valentines Day makeup look.
But, about 75% of the way through doing my makeup, I realized I hadn't hit the record button.
I've never been so irritated.
I'm going to attempt to film it again tomorrow, and maybe I'll remember to hit the record button.
Here's a preview of whats to come!
Feel free to watch my past videos here & subscribe so you can see my next tutorial when it goes up! :)

Space Saving Makeup Storage Idea!

Helloooo!
So.
I've been in the process of re-organizing my room for a while. I have a tiny room and a ton of stuff. That makes my room look super cluttered and disorganized.
Anyways, the most recent project I've been tackling is my dresser, which is where I keep all of my makeup & most of my clothes. My makeup collection is huge compared to the amount of storage space I have; So, its been getting really out of hand lately. I've been looking up all sorts of DIY's and "hacks" and have found a few useful one's.
I've gotten into re purposing old candle jars, but you can only use so many candle jars for so many things before it starts to look like a candle jar mess. lol I mostly enjoy decorating the candle jars, but then I really have no use for them after that.
This year I've accumulated a lot of makeup palettes, which take up a pretty large amount of space.
I was going to use this idea from Vasseur Beauty (she has a ton of great organization videos btw!) where you use a letter holder to hold all your palettes in place, but I've been to a few different stores and couldn't find a letter holder that I was content with. However, I did find this cute wire mail basket that hangs on the wall!
I hung It right next to my dresser. Honestly, It turned out a heck of a lot better than I thought it was going to and I'm very proud of my fabulous little basket. :)
I got it at Hobby Lobby for $5.83, It was originally around $8 something, but I used a 40% off coupon.
They always have 40% coupons on Retail Me Not, so always make sure to check their website before you shop.
I'm still looking for a better way to store compacts & shadow pots, so feel free to leave suggestions! :)
I hope this helped you in your makeup organizing endeavors!

2015 Favorites: Part 3! Fashion ,Lifestyle, TV & Music!

Untitled #20

Welcome to My last 2015 Favorites post!
Basically, this one will cover everything that isn't, beauty, makeup, or skincare related!
First, I'm going to start off with fashion!
Those of you that prefer the lazy approach to fashion might find this category interesting considering I hardly ever sacrifice comfort for fashion. Comfort is always my number one priority! If its cute, thats an added bonus. lol

  • Ava + Viv Wrap Dresses- For those of you who dont know, Ava + Viv is a plus-size brand sold at Target. These dresses were probably the most worn items in my closet this year. They are so versatile and comfortable! They can easily be dressed up or worn casually. The fabric is stretchy & breathable. The wrap dress silhouette is probably the most flattering silhouette I've ever worn. I cant say enough positive things about these dresses. I bought one with a green leafy looking pattern on it and a black patterned one and basically wore them all summer & fall. They put out long sleeved ones for the chillier months and I bought those too. lol I'm seriously addicted to these dresses. They are the perfect effortless item you can just throw on in a hurry! I LOVE THEM!!!!
  • Steve Madden Black Brandos- basically its a Birkenstock look alike and I got mine on sale at Macy's. I wore these with my Ava + Viv dresses. They are so soft and comfy & they have held up well considering how much I've worn them!
  • Lane Bryant No Wire Cooling Bra- I normally wouldn't post about underwear lol, but as a plus-size girl, I know it can be hard to find the perfect bra. Especially, if your not into under-wire. So, I feel like someone might find this information helpful because most people would automatically assume that a plus size woman needs the support of under wire because a lot of bras will lack support without the wire, but that is not the case with this bra! It supports everything that it should, it supports the back nicely, & it keeps you cool. Its the most comfortable bra I've ever worn & they have a cute selection of colors and patterns!
  • Torrid Lace Bralettes- This is another item that can be tricky to find if your plus size. These come in a gazillion colors & are very supportive for a bralette.
  • My Earthbound Sunglasses- I'm not sure if I put these in my last year's favorites post, but they are still my favorite sunglasses. I get so many compliments on them.
  • Viva La Juicy- I should've put this in my previous post, but I totally forgot! lol But I think this was probably my most worn perfume this year & I got a ton of compliments on it!
Since I couldn't find good photos of the sunglasses & wrap dresses to use in my collage, here are some photos of me wearing them! :)

Lifestyle, Music, & TV Faves!

  • Sony DSC RX100 Camera- Its my camera that I use when I want to take higher quality photos and I filmed my Youtube videos with it! I love it.
  • Amazon Basics Lightweight Headphones- These are literally the best headphones ever! I honestly don't understand people that blow tons of money on headphones when these amazing, $15 ones exist! They sound great, they're comfortable & flatten out for easy storage.
  • Gilmore Girls- I watched this series from beginning to end with my sister this year and we love it! It is just an all around good show.
  • Parenthood- I watched this after Gilmore Girls because Lauren Graham is in it and I was trying to get over my Gilmore Girls withdrawals. Its about the Braverman family and there is a ton of family members, so there is a lot of story lines and characters. It is a really good, heartwarming show. Similarly to Gilmore Girls, it has that quality of just normal people living normal lives and I love that. I think everybody could relate to this show. I think this might be my favorite show of 2015.
  • Future Hearts by All Time Low- All Time Low, AKA my favorite band, released a new album this year & its wonderful! My favorite songs are Missing You, Old Scars/Future Hearts, Runaways, & Satellites
  • Spotify- I use this everyday. I really love the new discover weekly playlist. I will link the playlists I listen to the most below :)
I hope you enjoyed my 3 part 2015 Favorites posts!
I hope you found it interesting and helpful!
Let me know if you've tried any of these items and your opinions, so leave me comments!
Also, if you haven't seen my previous two favorites posts with makeup & skincare, be sure to check them out!
Also, feel free to subscribe to my Youtube! I've posted a few makeup videos, so feel free to watch those! I'd really appreciate it :D
Thanks for stopping by!

2015 Favorites: Part 2! Health & Skincare!

2015 Favorites part 2

Welcome to the health and skincare portion of my 2015 Favorites!
I'm really excited about this post because it contains a lot of products I don't believe I've ever mentioned on my blog & the products are just amazing! They have worked so well for my skin.
  • Clarisea Products- I wanted to start off with this line of products because I think It is my absolute favorite! Here is a little back story of how I discovered this product and why it is so dear to my heart! lol Any time I go to the beach, I love the effect that the ocean has on my skin. The ocean, from my experience, heals almost anything. It heals soreness, wounds, & best of all, acne! I'm not a doctor or a dermatologist or anything like that, but the effect the ocean has on my skin is miraculous! Since I don't really live near the beach and only go maybe once a year at the most, I dont get to enjoy the benefits of the sea's skincare properties as often as I'd like. :'( I have went so far as to attempt to make a mixture with store bought sea salt with no success & even went so far as to bring back ocean water in a container, but it was just smelly and kind of gross, I guess, because it wasn't moving; so, I didn't even attempt to use that. Can you see my desperation?! But anyways, my sister got a sample of the the Rapid Detox Charcoal Exfoliant by Clarisea in her Ipsy bag. I noticed it sitting on the counter and saw that it said "Sea Salt Solutions" on the label and got super excited and she so kindly let me borrow it! So I tried it out and I absolutely LOVED it!!!! It literally made me feel like I had just emerged from the ocean. My skin had that slight burning sensation from the saltiness and as rinsed my face I could even taste the saltiness. When I woke up the next day my skin was behaving exactly as it does at the beach. It was doing what I like to call "the purge", where everything starts coming to the surface. I kept using it and my skin only got better & better. I had to make sure to moisturize a little bit more because It can be a tad drying. But honestly, this is a great product for anyone who loves how the ocean effects their skin. I ended up purchasing the kit with the charcoal salt soap bars, mask, & more of the Detox Charcoal. Its awesome! I highly recommend it!

  • Face Soap & Clarity 3-In-1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash- This has been my everyday cleanser since February! I love It! its very gentle and great cleanser. I noticed that when I ran out and had to order more I actually broke out a lot more than normal, but when I when I started back using this my breakouts subsided.

  • Embryolisse Moisturizer-  This moisturizer is great for people who are on the dryer side. It has really basic ingredients- aloe & shea butter. It leaves my skin feeling really nice.

  • Freeman Diamond Mineral Rinse Mask- I dont know a lot about this product. I usually pick it up randomly at Walmart for spa nights. All I know is that I have repurchased it a lot. It smells so good, it exfoliates, its affordable and it really makes my skin feel nice afterwards. On their website they say it contains "Sparkleberry Extract". I don't even know if thats a real thing, but it sounds amazing. lol

  • My Kettlebell- I really enjoyed working out with it. I watched a lot of kettlebell workouts on youtube & I really like a lot of the kettlebell moves. They make me sore to the point of being able to hardly walk the next day, so I know they're working. Right now I have a sand filled one though, and every time I lift it lately it leaks sand on my face, so I really want one that is not filled with sand. I would not recommend buying a sand filled kettlebell, lol

  • Emergen-C- I took this anytime I started getting any cold symptoms and It knocked it right out. This stuff works really well.

  • Kinesiology Tape- I feel like this is something everyone should keep handy! Kinesiology Tape isn't traditional sports tape. It is like a second layer of skin. Its not tight at all. It just forms to your body. It miraculously relieves most pains, especially muscle related ones. If your not into popping Tylenol for every little pain, I'd try this out because It is a really great drug free alternative.

2015 Favorites: Part 1! Makeup & Beauty Tools!!

2015 Favorites

I actually have a few favorites in this category because I wear a few different products regularly depending on what activities I'm doing.
  • Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte- When I'm feeling more glam or just putting more effort into my makeup, I reach for this foundation. It has really nice coverage & I don't have to wear a face powder with it. Its a great foundation!
  • Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix Stick Foundation- I wear this foundation to work. It is so easy to apply in a hurry. I wear this when I need to look presentable but don't feel like getting out a damp beauty blender or brushes. You can blend this easily and quickly with your fingertips and your good to go! I highly recommend this to anyone who is always running late or on the go!
  • Laura Mercier Powder Foundation- This is another favorite of mine because its another quick option that I find myself reaching for very often. I just apply my concealer first then put a thin layer of this powder foundation all over and it gives you a very natural finish.

BB Cream:

  • Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue BB Cream- This stuff is amazing! Not only is it a great makeup product, but It also is a great skincare product!

Concealer:

  • Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer- Very affordable, great coverage!

Powder:

  • Rimmel Stay Matte Transluscent Pressed Powder! This is a GREAT product! Its been a favorite of mine forever! Its also very affordable!

Bronzer:

  • NYC Sunny Bronzer- sadly I think it has been discontinued :(

Blush:

  • Laura Geller True Color Baked Blush in Bali

Lip Product:

  • Malin & Goetz Lip Balm- This literally cured my lips when they were so dry to the point of cracking and bleeding at the corners. I had tried burts bees, blistex, & numerous others, & this lip balm completely cured my lips!
  • Sephora Cream Stains
  • NYX Butter Lip Sticks

Eyeshadow/Eyeshadow Palette:

  • Urban Decay Naked Palette- IDK why I didn't purchase this sooner, but I reach for it almost every time I apply eye shadow. Its a great palette!

Eyeliner:

  • Kat Von D Tattoo Eye Liner- It is precise, doesn't smudge, & doesn't irritate my eyes! Its the only eyeliner I can wear to work that wont be all under my eyes by the end of the day. You get what you pay for with this product!

Mascara:

  • Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara! Doesn't smudge & doesn't irritate my eyes at all! It also make my eyelashes look amazing!!!!

Eyelash Curler:

  • NYC Eyelash Curler- Its been a favorite for a few years & Its less than $5!

Eye Primer

  • MICA eye primer- I got this in my Ipsy bag & I have used it every time I wear eye shadow! I prefer it over the UD Primer Potion. Unlike the UD primer, it doesn't dry my eyelids out. When I run out I will be repurchasing for sure!

Random Blog Post: Pretty Little Liars, Overhyped Perfume,& 2015 Favorites!

Hello everyone!
I'm currently watching the Pretty Little Liars marathon and I'm so excited for the premier of 6B tonight! Although I was super disappointed with the 6A finale, I'm still excited to see what happens throughout the rest of the series just because I have been watching PLL since it began.
While I'm watching PLL I thought it would be fun to just to this random little life update since I'm just relaxing right now.
Nothing too exciting has happened lately. I just recently had to get a new laptop because the T and the Y and a few other keys stopped working on my old one. It was going to be over $200 to repair so I just got a new one. For a few months I was typing by using the on screen key board any time I had to use a T or a Y and that was incredibly annoying. My new laptop is a HP Stream. It had really good reviews on Amazon and It was very affordable. Its also a super pretty, shiny, bright blue color. School just started back, so I've been using It a lot and it works really well so far! Now that I have a fully functioning laptop I feel like I'm going to be able to post more efficiently now.

Speaking of posts, I am going to be posting a 2015 Favorites in the next few days! I'm going to be breaking it up into three different posts: Makeup & Beauty, Health & Skincare, Fashion & Lifestyle!
Also, I have a few items that I want to do reviews of. I went to Sephora the other day and got a Foreo Luna Mini, so I will be posting about that In a few weeks. So far I like it a lot. Also, this is kind of random, but while I was at Sephora I smelled the Atelier Beach Walk perfume. I have been wanting to smell this perfume for the longest time because I've heard so many people rave about it on Youtube. I was expecting like a tropical beach vacation scent and It wasn't like that at all. There was nothing to it. It smelled nice, but it didn't remind me of the beach. I was so disappointed. lol

Anyways, thats my little life update for now,
hope you enjoyed lol

First Impression of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara!

This is the mascara from my last haul that I was super excited to try! I absolutely LOVE the original Lash Sensational mascara, so I was curious when i saw the Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara! I mean, who doesn't want luscious lashes!?!?! I certainly do!

Anyways, this mascara seemed to have the same formula as the original Lash Sensational. The wand, however, was shaped differently than the original. Instead of being curved, its more of a straight cone shape.
Honestly, I think I like it better than the original wand! I feel like it was easier to maneuver through my lashes.

Heres a photo of me in natural light with NO eyeliner or eye makeup whatsoever. I think the results are impressive!
And here is a comparison photo with one eye done and the other bare. Lol sorry for the strange pose, i was in the car & bored when i took these photos.

Tiny Maybelline Haul & New Maybelline Products!

Tonight i picked up a few items from Target that i'm extreamly excited to try!!
Apparently Maybelline has some new products out and they look awesome! I got a new mascara called the Lash Sensational Luscious mascara. I absolutly love the original Lash Sensational mascara, its my favorite mascara and the only one i've used for months now! I also purchased a new lip product called the Vivid Matte Liquid in the shade Pink Charge. I've really been into liquid lipsticks like the Sephora Cream Stains, so i'm hoping this is similar! Lastly, i got the Dream Lumi Concealer. Its not new, ive used it before and its a really nice brightening concealer. I was wanting to get more of the Age Rewind concealer, but sadly, they were out.

Let me know if youve tried any of these products & what you think about them!

I might post a review of them, so keep an eye out!

& If i dont post till the new year,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Also i got this super shiny mermaid-esque wallet and i'm in love with it <3

New Video! Holiday Makeup Look: Cranberry Eyes & Lips Using the Ciate London x Olivia Palermo Palette!

Hi!

I just uploaded a new Youtube video! It is a holiday makeup look! It uses a lot of rich cranberry shades that look perfect for winter. In my opinion, this look can be casual or glam depending on what you wear with it and how you accessorize it! Its a very versatile look! The palette I'm using in the video is my favorite a the moment! The colors are already so beautiful, but you can intensify them by dampening the brush which I demonstrate in the video!

You can read my previous post with the review, swatches, & photos of the Ciate London x Olivia Palermo Palette here!! :)

The Smouldering Eye Palette by Ciate London and Olivia Palermo: Swatches, Photos, and Quick Review

I purchased this product during the VIB Rouge Sale and I absolutely love it; So,I'm gonna keep this review short and sweet with a simple pros and cons list!

PROS

  • The shadows are very pigmented and smooth- you can tell they are very good quality.
  • The palette's packaging is very nice, durable and sophisticated.
  • It is a great travel size palette.
  • There are many different versatile shades with different finishes. You have the warm reds and browns and cool blues and greys. You also have satins, mattes, and shimmers all in one small portable palette. I LOVE IT!!!

CONS

  • Price is a bit steep at $39
  • It doesn't come with any kind of brush. I like it when my palettes come with brushes so I dont have to remember to pack one.
  • It can be hard to open; but, that can also be a good thing because you don't one it coming open in your bag.

Swatches

I took one photo with the flash to show how pretty and shimmery some of the eyeshadows are.
The photo in natural light is more true to their color.

Get Ready With Me: School + Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation Demo

Hi!
I made another Youtube video! My second one to be exact lol
Its just a Get Ready With Me video. I filmed it before going to school one day. In my last video I didn't actually speak but, in this one I did. I was kind of nervous about uploading it because I really don't like my voice. But, I feel like everyone hates their own voice to some extent lol (thats how I make myself feel better)

Its a neutral smokey eye with winged eyeliner and a bright pink lip. I really liked how this turned out. Its a good everyday look. It can be casual or fancy, in my opinion.

Here  some photos of the finished makeup & If you want to see how I achieved this makeup, feel free to watch the video. I had a lot of fun making it, so I hope yall like it! :)

Also, in the video, I use the Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation which I did a full first impression of here. :)
